Neha Bansal

Neha Bansal joined DeGolyer and MacNaughton in 2020 with a strong background in reservoir characterization studies, and extensive experience developing and evaluating both conventional and unconventional reservoirs. Before D&M, she worked at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and Reliance Industries Ltd.

At Anadarko she managed the multidisciplinary Delaware reservoir characterization team, and served as technical and project lead on development projects in central and asset technology roles. At Reliance in India, her work covered erosion design studies and deepwater well-test design and analysis.

At D&M she performs reserves and resources evaluations across conventional and unconventional fields in the United States and internationally, and has overseen the firm’s Gulf of Mexico portfolio — leading reserves assessments and technical studies for new ventures, acquisitions, and divestitures. Her expertise spans numerical and analytical modeling, well performance analysis, fluid characterization, and integrated reservoir studies.

Bansal earned a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, India in 2008, and a master’s in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University in 2013. She is an SPE member serving in leadership roles on technical conference and workshop committees, and is a technical reviewer for the Journal of Petroleum Science & Engineering. She was named a Vice President of D&M in 2022.
